Dr. Susmita Sarkar is an environmental researcher with a Ph.D. in Geography, specializing in risk and vulnerability studies from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and is a recipient of the UGC NET-JRF/SRF fellowship. With a strong foundation in data management, advanced analytical, and mapping skills, she is committed to promoting sustainable environmental practices. Her expertise includes conducting mixed-method studies on critical issues, particularly in environmental governance and forest clearance related issues. She is also adept at building strategic networks and collaborating with government bodies and civil society organizations (CSOs) to raise awareness of the environmental challenges faced by tribal communities.
